home away from home

When you know, you just know.. y'know? And that's how I felt with my visit to Japan for the first time. Definitely a home away from home. The people, the surroundings, the food, the culture, everything just felt so goddamn familiar. I can't wait to go back one day. But for now, some snap shots of my time there..

pretty in pink

HM top, Zara Skirt, Asos Sneakers.

Such a rare occasion where I'd dress so feminine, head to toe but I am so in love with this number. The leather, the sheer, the lace, the canvas! Apologies for lack of posts, exam weeks are intense and are taking a toll. Wish me luck.

sunset hues

Zara Top, Skirt, Dotti Boots, Zoeva Brushes.

Head to toe in Zara. Love the recent trend with flares, so much so that I've fallen in love with just about anything that has a flare. Although this skirt is super cute, it was hard for me to style without making it look like I just finished school not to mention my baby face.
Need I say anything more on these Zoeva brushes? Simply amazing. The bristles are like nothing I've felt before, heaven on my skin. It really does make a world of a difference when applying make up. Definitely something to invest in.
And this sunset?! What a beautiful world we live in. Mother nature came through with these sunset hues...

m day brunchin

Alexander Wang X HM Crop Tee, Zara Skirt, Nike Sneakers.

A late post from Mothers Day, when we took mum to brunch and shopping afterwards. Brunch was amazing as usual, Circa Espresso never disappoints. Just want to shout out to the mum, for being the best and my number one supporter always. I love you so much and owe everything to you.

suit up

August St Blazer, Forever New Pinstripe Trousers, Senso Heels, Ralph Lauren Tote.

Suited up for a meeting I had this week. Feeling real ambitious lately and my goals are in place. I have so many new ideas and plans for the future and I can't wait to launch them all with you guys.
As you can see, pintstripe detailing was the core ingredient to this suit concoction. I opted for the same print but in two different shades just to mix and match. Felt super chic in this set. And these senso heels... I die! I have to admit, Senso is on the pricy side but it's a bang for your buck because I can walk in them forever.

my favourite thing in the world

Glassons Knit&Hat, HM skirt, Lipstik Boots.

One of the latest trends in at the moment is the monochrome trend. I find it one of the most interesting because of the way different people style it. If you ask me five years ago to put something monochrome together, I honestly wouldn't know where to begin. Monochrome gave me chills. But now I can see the beauty of it. This all beige look has to be a favourite by far. A classic and feminine look.
And as for my most favourite thing in the world? Gelato Messinas without a doubt. Their flavours are sooooo bomb and so crazy, it's actually out of this world. The concoctions they come up with are just straight insane. Every week they have different specials.. and I've almost had tried every single one. No shame. And no this is not sponsored. I friggin wish.

baked

Alexander Wang x HM crop, Zara Flare jeans, Sportsgirl Belt, eBay Hat, Dotti boots.

Out of all the current trends right now, this baker hat is my favourite. Hats are my secret weapon for a bad hair day or just a bad face day... The key to covering any bad anything days really... What I also love abut the hat, is the military details  and the price tag. As I browsed around for this specific hat free people and fallen broken street offered a similar hat for a much dearer price and I wasn't sure if I wanted to invest in it yet.. so I think this ebay hat was much more worth it.
As for the rest of the fit, flare jeans... Need I say more?! Amaze.

best of chella'16

Coachella for me is bringing the two best things together, fashion and music. Every year I cannot contain my excitement for the outfits that are created for this event. Here are a few outfits that really stood out for me as I stumbled upon Instagram. Although there were lots more, I managed to cut it down to 4! And of course, I couldn't leave out the infamous 'Kylie Jenner' and her rainbow braids.

night outta town

Vintage Blazer Top, Missguided Skort, Tony Bianco Heels.

A while back when the beau treated me for our anniversary dinner at Sokyo. Dinner was amazing as usual, one of my favourite restaurants to date! Or maybe I just love anything Japanese...
This divine blazer top is an absolute gem of a find, shout out to the beautiful mum for having great taste and for keeping it for all these years for me. It did come with a pair of matching pants but I felt the need to dress it down just an inch by styling it with this Missguided skort. Not sure what happened to the hem and why it's on an angle but # wardrobe malfunction.
Until next time lovelies xx

three-way rockin'

August St Pinstripe Pants.

Timberland Boots, CO by Cotton On Shorts.

A Brand Denim Dungarees, Converse Taylors.

A vintage band tee styled three ways. One of my favourite things to throw on is this vintage tee and I wish I could have it in multiple colour-ways and sizes. I die for that oversized, boyfriend fit. Been waiting to do a post like this, styling a single piece in different ways. Will be definitely doing another one soon. Stay posted xx

tennis court

Zara T-Shirt&Skirt, Adidas Stan Smith.

When the peplum trend came in, I was never a big fan...  Especially on tops. There was something about it that I just did not find them flattering. But when peplum mini a-line skirts dropped at Zara, I tried it on just because I loved the navy/grey pinstripe. To my surprise, it was such a nice fit - doesn't make you look short and stubby which is what I was most afraid of. And I just recently invested in a black scuba knit one as well.. Super excited to bring that out.
Also, check out hex store on instagram for the coolest new accessories. My glitter phone case is just one of many chic pieces they have.

drop the game

Forever 21 crop and pants, Adidas Stan Smiths.

Love this look because 1. easy, 2. comfortable. Even though it is really simple, I got the inspiration while I was working and a customer came in wearing the most amazing chinos with a simple tee and Acne sneakers. I fell in love with her sport luxe and effortless look, I just had to re-create it. And that's one of the perks about working in the city, more exposure to Sydney fashion.

creative, c r e a t i n g.

Zara Bomber, Cheap Monday Second Skins, Converse Chuck Taylors.

When I saw it, I knew I just had to have it... This Zara Bomber is everything. I love that silk is in again. I just love silk. The slip on, effortless look that it brings to an outfit. Brings me back to the Grease lightning, Pink Ladies days but with a bit more Oomph!
